Beau Mac Cheater Bait Weights

Beau Mac Cheater Bait Weights

A staple of Northwest float fishing, Beau Mac’s Cheater Bait Weights slide down your leader and settle right on top of your bait, helping it drop quickly into the strike zone and hold steady in the current. That’s a big advantage when drifting cured eggs, sand shrimp, or other natural baits for salmon and steelhead on rivers like the Skagit, Cowlitz, and Sauk. The weight also doubles as a pop of color above the hook, adding a visual attractor to your presentation without changing the way your bait moves. Because it rides your leader instead of crimping onto it, you can adjust or swap it out quickly as conditions change.

Choose from three sizes: size 14 (1/16 oz, 6 pack), size 12 (1/8 oz, 5 pack), and size 10 (1/4 oz, 4 pack). Six colors are available: Pearl Pink, Black, Bubblegum Pink, Rocket Red, Hot Pink, and Flame Orange.

Best For: Float-fished bait rigs for salmon and steelhead where you want bait to sink fast and add a touch of color.
