Gamakatsu Octopus Hook Barbless Black

Gamakatsu Octopus Hook - Barbless Black

The black finish gives Gamakatsu’s classic Octopus Hook a stealthy, low-profile look that disappears behind bait in clear water. That makes it a smart choice when salmon and steelhead are wary and a flashy hook might draw a second look. The barbless point sets cleanly and makes releases fast and gentle, keeping you compliant on rivers like the Skagit, Cowlitz, and Sauk, as well as in Puget Sound salmon and blackmouth fisheries where barbless hooks are required. The forged construction stands up to hard-charging fish and strong current, whether you’re running cured eggs, sand shrimp, herring, or cut bait.

Choose from eight sizes, 4 through 5/0, with each size available in a small pack or a 25 pack so you can stock up for the season.

Best For: Bait fishing in barbless-only river and saltwater fisheries where a stealthy, low-visibility hook helps with wary fish.
